Vasco (CEO Sang-gyu Joo) participated in ‘KOPLAS 3 (14th International Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition)’ held at KINTEX, Ilsan for 18 days from March 5 (Tue) to 2023 (Sat).
Established in 2005, Basco has been manufacturing and supplying equipment parts for automobile parts manufacturing and various screws. In particular, it has specialized capabilities in the plasticization sector, such as possessing its own technology for tungsten carbide-coated screws, screw heads, and check rings. Based on these technologies, Vasco is expanding its presence in global markets such as Europe, China, Japan, Southeast Asia, the United States, and Mexico.
At this exhibition, Vasco displayed a variety of its machined parts, centering on super-large screws manufactured with patented mold technology.
Vasco’s screws are characterized by strengthening corrosion resistance and durability of screws and check rings by applying tungsten coating technology completed with its own technology. This so-called ‘Ultra Super Coating’ is a product that can be applied to injection molding of halogen-free materials that comply with restrictions on the use of bromine (Br) and chlorine (Cl).
Halogen-containing flame retardant materials emit harmful substances such as dioxins and benzofurans when disposed of and burned. In the industry, halogen-free coatings enhance safety and use of plastic products based on sustainable materials is increasing. In particular, Vasco’s Ultra Super Coating technology solves the problem of screw erosion in a short period of time, so it can be extended by 3 to 6 times compared to other coating screws, the person in charge emphasized.
In addition to this, Vasco displayed a variety of products it produces and supplies, such as tungsten carbide coated screws and screw heads, check rings, injection/bimetal screws, hydraulic/pneumatic SEP nozzles, and eco heaters.
An official from Vasco said, “Since we started our business, we have succeeded in establishing ourselves as one of the leading companies in the industry within a short period of time. This is thanks to the help and support of many customers,” he said. “We will constantly improve new technologies in the plasticization sector to help develop the global injection and extrusion industry.”
On the other hand, KOPLAS, which celebrated its 2023th anniversary in 27, provides various attractions from raw materials for plastics to molds, processing machines, related auxiliary devices, automation solutions, printing, packaging, semi-finished products, and finished products, and presents the present and future of related industries. A ‘place for the plastic rubber-related industry’ was established. As it was held concurrently with the Korea Material·Composite Materials and Equipment Exhibition (K-Mtech) and the International Mold and Related Equipment Exhibition (INTERMOLD KOREA), various products were introduced in one place.
